CSAEW Endorses Antonio Villaraigosa for Governor
The California State Association of Electrical Workers (CSAEW) is proud to announce its endorsement of Antonio Villaraigosa for Governor of California. Representing over 83,000 dedicated union electrical workers, CSAEW recognizes Villaraigosa’s commitment to improving the lives of working families and advancing the priorities of our membership.
John Doherty, Financial Secretary Treasurer of CSAEW, stated, “Antonio Villaraigosa has consistently demonstrated his support for our union and the vital role we play in California’s economy. His proven track record of advocating for safe working conditions and fair wages, combined with his vision for strengthening our energy infrastructure, aligns well with our mission to empower our members and build stronger communities. We believe he is the right leader to guide California in addressing its pressing infrastructure needs.”
“I am honored and humbled to have earned the endorsement of the California State Association of Electrical Workers,” said Antonio Villaraigosa. “Electrical workers are hard-working men and women who deserve an economy that works for all families. As governor, I will focus on creating better working conditions, jobs with livable wages, more affordable housing and increased vocational education and apprenticeship programs.”
For nearly 100 years, CSAEW has tirelessly worked to enhance the health and safety conditions for our diverse membership, advocating for workers’ rights across various classifications—from construction electricians to high voltage linemen. With Antonio Villaraigosa as Governor, we are confident that we can make significant progress in securing better wages and working conditions for all workers in the electrical industry while building California’s energy infrastructure to meet the demands of the future.
