California Electrical Workers Endorse Bradford for Insurance Comish, Rendon for Public Instruction

(February 19, 2026) The California State Association of Electrical Workers (CSAEW), which represents 83,000 skilled union electrical workers, is proud to announce its endorsements  for two key state positions:  Steven Bradford for Insurance Commissioner and Anthony Rendon for State Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Highlighting the importance of labor rights, Steven Bradford said, “The insurance industry plays a vital role in protecting workers and their families. With CSAEW’s endorsement, I’ll continue to fight for policies that prioritize the needs of all Californians, particularly those working in the electrical industry.”

Candidate for State Superintendent of Public Instruction Anthony Rendon noted, “The future of education in California requires modernizing school facilities to create safe and inspiring learning environments for our students. This starts with investing in a skilled and trained workforce that brings these projects to life, bolstering vocational education and apprenticeship opportunities, and making sure young people have the skills and training necessary for high-demand jobs. Working with IBEW, we can empower the next generation to thrive in a rapidly changing economy.”

CSAEW Financial Secretary-Treasurer John Doherty emphasized the association’s commitment to supporting candidates who advocate for fair labor practices: “Steven and Anthony understand the significance of safe working conditions and fair wages. Their leadership will empower our members and strengthen our communities.”

CSAEW President Neal Lauzon added, “We believe that with the right leaders, we can advocate for policies that not only uplift our members but also ensure that all workers in California have the opportunity to thrive.”
