Over 70 years ago, the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the IBEW joined together to create a joint training program, the Electrical Training ALLIANCE to train top quality electrical workers. Since then, the Alliance has graduated over 500,000 apprentices through its local affiliate programs, making it the largest apprenticeship and training program of its kind.
The training program is a combination of classroom instruction and invaluable on-the-job training – allowing students to earn while they learn. They spend time in the classroom learning occupational skills and safety regulations then time in the field in real-life training where they work under veteran journeymen who can show them the ropes in real-world applications. The programs are all registered with the California Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS) or the Nevada State Apprenticeship Council.
